Trump Just Stared At The Solar Eclipse. The Daily Show’s Response Is Hilarious

The comedic geniuses saw his childish mistake and quickly humiliated him.

Trump’s first day back in Washington, D.C. coincided with the nation’s first solar eclipse in 38 years. While Americans have been warned for weeks not to look directly at the sun during the event, a photo of our President doing just that have since gone viral.

The Daily Show’s take on the matter, however, is spot on.

Although the country laughed at Trump’s juvenile behavior, it should not distract from the fact that, only days ago, Trump failed to condemn white supremacists at a rally in Charlottesville, Virginia after a neo-Nazi plowed his car into a group of counterprotestors, killing 32-year-old Heather Heyer. Trump responded by claiming that “both sides” were to blame.

And this past weekend, after a pro-white rally in Boston in which a dismal 20 white supremacists showed up against 40,000 largely peaceful counterprotestors, Trump against tacitly endorsed the white supremacists with his implied condemnation of the counterprotestors.

The United States of America now has a president that is deferential to neo-Nazis over peaceful protestors. Here’s to hoping Trump took a nice, long look at the eclipse.
